IMPORTANT NOTICE

Although the restrictions have mostly gone, COVID-19 is still very much with us.

To help minimise the disruption caused by both volunteers and riders having to cancel last minute, due to isolation or quarantine requirements, we are continuing to manually confirming all bookings.

If you’d like to join either a Friday or Sunday ride, we ask that you email us on info@sofa-to-saddle.org.

We regret that any rider turning up without a confirmed booking will be unable to join the rides.

We’re still at it!

With the loss of the great Tim Watling, our co-founder and owner of West Malling Cycles, back in February this year, things have felt very different here at StS. But the fact that we’re still going is a testament to the bonds of friendship that Tim helped to forge. And as the prospect of another cold winter sprints towards us, with the regular turnout for our Sunday Socials seemingly unaffected, it is great to see Tim’s legacy will not be lost.

So it continues…

Our regular FREE Sunday Socials run on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, rain or shine. If there’s no ice on the ground, and the wind is not going to put us in a hedge, or worse, we will be setting of from West Malling Cycle at 10:00 on those days.

For the more advanced or more adventurous riders, why not try one of our Tuesday evening or Friday morning rides. These run every week, but routes vary greatly, so pleased contact us if you’d like to know more.

Fancy something a bit dirtier? From November, we’re introducing an StS-MTB ride on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Again, if you’d like to know more, please contact us.

As I’m very fond of saying to people, it’s lovely riding in the warm sunshine of spring, but it’s much more much fun when you lungs don’t feel like they’re going to explode. Building or maintaining your bike- fitness throughout the winter months, makes those spring rides so much better.
