This will be the third year for the Ride to Rye, which was a hugely well received. The hotel in Rye, East Sussex, as well as all the stops along the way, provided the majority of participants with the perfect introduction to cycle touring. Our first stop, the legendary Frankies Farmshop, is now a regular stop for many of our members.

This year, we’re moving just down the road to The Lodge at Winchelsea, as The River Haven can no longer accommodate us.

The route takes us through the villages of Kent and across the marshes to Rye. The 60 mile journey is expected to take us less around 7½ hours, including stops, which will give us plenty of time to enjoy the evening in Rye.

After a good night’s rest, at The Lodge, and a leisurely breakfast, we begin the journey home. We’ll stop en route for Sunday Lunch, and aim to arrive back at West Malling by before five o’clock on Sunday evening.
